Services: guidance on the temporary housing process, how to file a claim, how to get free home air filtration and weather stripping to reduce odor.
Los Angeles County Department of Public Health teams will go door-to-door to conduct surveys with residents to continue evaluating community health in relation to the gas leak. Participation is voluntary, and answers will be kept private. Public Health is working to protect the residents affected by the gas leak. Download the flyer here.

SBA Disaster Loan Program:
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest federal loans for working capital to small businesses economically impacted by the Aliso Canyon gas leak. SBA representatives will be on hand to answer questions about SBA’s disaster loan program, explain the application process and help each business owner complete their application.

Eligibility is based on the financial impact of the disaster only. These loans have an interest rate of 4% for small businesses and 2.65% for private nonprofit organizations with terms up to 30 years, and are restricted to small businesses without the financial ability to offset the adverse impact without hardship.

The CARB has sent a letter to Southern California Gas Company noting that the CARB is coordinating activities and data sharing to measure the leak rate and estimate total emissions over the duration. The letter includes questions for SoCalGas in regards to support of ongoing efforts to quantify emissions.

Air Quality Management District (AQMD) Hearing Board adopted an abatement order relating to Aliso Canyon on 1/23/16 to take specific steps to abate the natural gas leak, monitor the leaking gas, and reduce the impacts of nuisance odors on the local community.
